敬爱的老师，亲爱的同学们：上午好！
　　我演讲的题目是“责任”。我记得美国的总统林肯说过：“每一个人都应该有这样的信心：人所能负的责任，我必能负；人所不能负的责任，我亦能负。那么，你才能磨练自己，求得更高的知识而进入更高的境界。”作为一个高中生，我们应该承担的责任是什么呢？经过高中近两年的学习生活，我们明白了：父母的希望、老师的期盼、建设祖国的重任、中华民族的未来，都寄托在我们的身上----这，就是我们的责任。
　　既然认识到我们应该担负的责任，那就是不能逃避的，不可推卸的，我们就要勇敢的担负起来，不论这责任有多重，有多险，有多艰难，有多困苦，我们都要承担起来。孟子说：“天将降大任于是人也，必先苦其心志，劳其筋骨，空乏其身……”我们要勇敢的承担起这个大任，在美好的青春年华里强化自己的责任心，培养自己的责任感，为达此目的，我们必须做到以下几点：
　　一、努力学习科学文化知识，提高自身综合素质，陶冶良好的品德情操，做到德智体美劳全面发展，成为一个优秀的中学生。
　　二、孝敬父母、尊敬师长、友爱同学，学会感恩，与同学和谐相处，学会沟通，培养良好的人际关系，做一个善良的、充满爱心的中学生。
　　三、遵守校规校纪，勤奋刻苦学习，掌握科学的学习方法，提高学习成绩，力争考上一所理想的大学；为将来回报父母、老师，回馈社会打下坚实的基础。
　　四、热爱祖国、忠于民族，坚定地维护祖国的一切利益，坚决地同一切危害国家利益的坏人坏事做斗争。积极参加各项爱祖国爱人民的活动，积极投身于社会主义现代化建设，为祖国的发展和繁荣贡献自己的青春和力量。
　　同学们，勇敢的行动起来吧！让我们来献身：献身给善，献身给美，献身给真，献身给正义，献身给祖国，献身给民族，献身给全世界伟大的人类！

　　Good morning teachers and schoolmates, My topic for today’s speech is responsibility.A former American president Lincon once said: Everybody should have such a confidence that I’m certainly able to be responsible for whatever others can be responsible for,and I can also be responsible for anything that others can’t. By doing so, one can steel himself, acquire knowledge of a higher level and step into a loftier realm”. As a high school student, what responsibility should I take on? Through years’ study and life in high school,I have got to understand that the expectation from my parents and teachers,the great task to build our country and the future of the Chinese nation are all our high school students’ responsibilities.
　　Since we have known what our responsibilities are, let’s shoulder them courageously instead of evading them cowardly, no matter how heavy and hard they are. An ancient Chinese thinker Mencius once said: If you were to be granted a great task by Heaven,both your body and mind would have to go through hardships and tribulations…”In order to shoulder the responsibilities bravely, we must foster and strengthen our sense of responsibility, and for this goal, we must do the following things:
　　In the first place, work hard to acquire knowledge and mold our temperament so that we can gain a all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique, and become a qualified high school student.
　　In the second place, show respect for our parents and teachers, learn to communicate with others so as to form a good interpersonal relationship.
　　In the third place, abide by our school rules and regulations; Study hard so that we can lay a solid foundation for our further accdemic studies.
　　Finally, love our motherland and be loyal to the Chinese nation.
